The Mr Kamera Episode
My fellow Zimbabweans, it is with a heavy heart that I must announce to you all that we are still broke. But we as the patrons of struggle are comforted in the knowledge that you as our unfortunate readers and listeners are also reduced to such desperate measures as to look for our brand new podcast. While Phil languishes in misery in some South African prison, Danny managed to sit with one of the increasingly influential names in African music production, Mr Kamera.
Zimbabwean producer Mr Kamera, currently working out of South Africa, has production work with names like Ice Prince, L-Tido, D'Banj, Yemi Alade, Dj Maphorisa, Ma-E, AKA, Fiesta Black and more under his belt and he is currently working with Grammy-award winning producer Brian Soko. (As fellow award winners, we truly appreciate the hustle). Dan managed to find out the full story behind Mr Kamera's takeover of the music industry, as well as insights on such things as music ownership, girls in houses, Nigerian hospitality, girls in houses, secrets to success in music and finally girls in houses. We conclude the episode with the latest single from Ice Prince, No Mind Dem, produced by Mr Kamera.
It's happening! This is not a drill! You can finally return to your routines, Dan & Phil are BACK with that fresh new-new!! Dan is a father now, and he has profound wisdom to share, like "new parents are tired". The boys even get to talk about sport, like Formula 1 coming back to Africa (surprise it's Rwanda!) and what punishment should Manchester City get for cheating for over a decade? Oh and Phil has been outisde. A lot to discuss, enjoy!
