The Gudo Guru (DKR) Episode
As Isaac Newton once said to the world, apple in hand & bandana on head: Prepare to be edumacated! In probably one of our most in-depth and bound-shattering interviews yet, the two economically challenged vagabonds, Dan & Phil, sat down with the two founding members of DKR, now referring to themselves as Gudo Guru.
Veteran producers and artists , Begotten Sun and Munya Tanganyika wax lyrical about the journeys they have both traveled, musical, spiritual and physical, to get to the place they are at today. We almost forgot our financial woes in this marathon episode. As always, Begotten Sun was very vocal in his strong views on the music industry and he had words for the Zim Hip Hop Awards, the current crop of rappers, so-called "beef" and much more.
Munya delved deep into an understanding of what makes African music African, as well as his experiences rubbing shoulders with Hip Hop's elite in 'murikka
Enjoy
Go on ahead and invite us into your house please, the 2 Broke Twimbos are back again with something new new. Dan & Phil take a sombre moment to address some of the tragedies that seem to be coming thick and fast these days, like the Air India flight crash or the floods in the Eastern Cape in South Africa. But the show does go on, the pair review the BET Awards and share some real talk about Madam Boss's presence there. They also talk Timbaland starting A-Pop (look it up) and AI when it comes to creative content in general. TLDR: We're cooked. Oh, and Sinners, and Mountainhead and loads of stuff, enjoy!
