Big up Bulawayo! Skies rapper Guluva Se7en has released a scorcher of a track that is an ode to his hometown, aptly titled City of Kings. You'll probably catch a Fetty Wap flavour on the hook, but his bars are all about Bulawayo, while on production is Marvin. Guluva Se7en won best newcomer at last year's Zim Hip Hop Awards, though he really has been on his grind for years now. This song will no doubt pick up a whole bunch of radio play, and not just in Bulawayo. Stream/download it below:
Long time friend of 2 Broke Twimbos, DJ Towers of TeamBhoo has released his mixtape provocatively titled Makudo Agraduater (The baboons have graduated). A stand-out single is MaBlesser featuring the star studded line-up of Simba Tagz, Marcques and Tinashe Makura, produced by Youngnash. Check it out below, but only if you own a pair of dope J's and/or you're capable of buying several women airtime. As you can imagine, we can't afford to listen to it.
Takura of the self-proclaimed boy band Soul Afrika has released the follow-up to his smash hit Zino Irema, and it's pretty much along the same veins as his first solo single. It's called MaObama, and it's an insightful commentary on the global dilemma of animals used as guinea pigs for experiments in the genetic modification industry. No it isn't, it's obviously about making money. Although I'm not sure if he will have to change the title of the song to "MaTrumps" or "MaClinton" in a few months. Peep the lyric video below:
Simba Tagz and Reverb7 have collaborated on another one (DJ Khaled voice) to bring you Tamirira. Tagz handles the vocals while Reverb plays the biggest part in the production of this song that serves as a cry for help on behalf of Zimbabwe. We highly recommend you include this on in your Bank Queue Playlist.

In what can only be described as an ironic and unfortunate piece of timing or a heartfelt apology.
Award winning Malawian artist Yesaya just released his catchy and uptempo R&B single Wanga Baby
The hosts of the show are Boity Thulo, Thomas Gumede and Basketmouth. The first show aired just after the launch party where the guests were treated to an exclusive viewing of the first episode of the season.
Fellow comrades and non-receivers of vehicular gifts, the 2 Broke Twimbos are back once again to knock down global ignorance with the sledgehammer of podcasting! This week, the pair discuss the terrible tragedy of the Kariba Ferry, the ongoing InDrive wars between Harare City Council and e-hailing service users, Thomas Mapfumo beefing with his nephew, why we’re still going to have to go through the humiliation ritual of applying for visas, and how to tell if this was written by AI or not. Enjoy!
