Being big fans of any event that they can sneak into for free, Phil & Dan are extremely excited about the newest Electronic Dance Music festival in town, Electric Arena.
The brains behind this event is Zimbabwean EDM DJ & producer, Rob Macson (to listen to the Rob Macson episode, click here) who has called it Zimbabwe's largest indoor EDM festival. On the bill to perform are 4 international acts and 7 local acts
As we manage to extricate ourselves from the horrid and financially debilitating time known as Silly Season we are now smack dab in the putrid and pungent cesspool the financial aficionados term as “January Disease”.
It was early December: the infectious holiday spirit had finally penetrated my defenses like a yellow-bone to a rich married man's wallet. You see, I was expecting it to be a standard December, abject poverty & misery while my peers around me lived the lavish life that I had read about in Mills & Boon books. But this time was different.
Soweto Fashion week is set to be held from the 26th to the 29th of November at the Soweto Theatre in Johannesburg South Africa.
Since Dan & I know absolutely nothing about fashion, a quick look at our #OOTD (Outfit Of The Day) tagged pics will quickly prove this, we decided to get hold of a lady known for hob-knobbing with some of Zimbabwe’s fashion elite who has often set the innnaets ablaze with her taste in clothing – none other than Loch Nation (I call her Lordza for short).
Shoko Festival is set to inspire the capital city from the 25th-28th of September 2014 under the theme ‘Re-Inspire Re-Imagine’ at Alex Sports Club. This year’s edition will feature international headline acts such as Nneka (Germany), Loyiso Gola (South Africa), Buddy Wakefield (USA), and Chester Missing (South Africa). Zimbabwe will be represented by sensational headline acts such as Netsayi, Tehn Diamond, Ammara Brown, Jason Leroux, Rax & Raydizz and Ba Shupi.
The moment the news broke that South African house sensation Uhuru were making plans to be in Zimbabwe for a concert, Phil & I were extremely excited. Mostly because we like crowds for non-pickpocketing reasons, but also because the music is cool and we had another opportunity to fund raise.
Immediately, the "Get The 2 Broke Twimbos to Uhuru" fund was started up
It's happening! This is not a drill! You can finally return to your routines, Dan & Phil are BACK with that fresh new-new!! Dan is a father now, and he has profound wisdom to share, like "new parents are tired". The boys even get to talk about sport, like Formula 1 coming back to Africa (surprise it's Rwanda!) and what punishment should Manchester City get for cheating for over a decade? Oh and Phil has been outisde. A lot to discuss, enjoy!
