The Tamy Episode
As you know comrades, here at 2 Broke Twimbos, we are very well connected, much like how the foot bone is connected to the leg bone, and the leg bone is connected to the thigh bone, and the thigh bone is connected to the pork bones etc etc. We used our connections to flash our new found wealth in rising Zimbabwean singer, Tamy Moyo’s face, but she seemed to be unimpressed by a handful of creased $2 bond notes. Either way, Tamy agreed to sit down with us and we had an in-depth discussion during which Tamy shared her journey growing up in a family already in the spotlight, her exploits as a young singer and the pressures that it came with, as well as how she came to be one of the big names in Zimbabwean music. She even described her year-long phase of depression brought on by her experiences in the industry, her high-profile relationship and its status as well as how NOT to step up to her if you tryna holla.
