John & Simba Present The Food Album
A few weeks back in our interview with SImba Tagz we reminisce fondly about the seminal classic The Food Album. For any Zimbabwean who came of age around the turn of the millenium this musical masterpiece was the soundtrack to many fond memories and nights out at the school dance.
Now, thanks to the wonders of technology (and the fact that Sipho Mudau had the album on his hard drive) . we are now able to share this album with you!
Sadly, as it usually happens with valuable artifacts - part of the album has been lost. However the breakout hits of the album such as One Bite, I Don’t Want A Coke, He’s A Monya and the best song to ever come from the Diwali Riddim - For All Them Gwazers.
This version of the Food Album also includes the bonus song Gadadzva from Joni Blazo. The rap alter ego of another popular Zimbabwean rapper. First person to guess who it is will get a free set of movie tickets!.
