African Star Communications 6th Anniversary
Sometimes on very rare occasions, we manage to convince other people to sneak into events on our behalf. On this occasion we managed to convince Infinity Mag editor Sophia Chitemere to find her way into African Star Communication's 6th Anniversary Celebrations at Taboo in Sandton.
On the 5th of August African Star Communications celebrated their 6th anniversary at the upmarket Taboo club. The event was a very intimate affair with invited guests that were made up of notable media figures, ASC business partners, past & present clients as well as those closely associated with African Star and its founding director – Miss Farah Fortune.
The event was held to celebrate African Star’s achievements over its 6 years of operation and thank all those in attendance who played a role in its success.
There were giveaway prizes from several sponsors that included Tribe One Festival tickets, hotel packages and other giveaways. The attendees were entertained by performances from DJ Vinyl Angel, DJ Fanatic, Naima Mclean, Solo and Tumi Molekane throughout the night. Towards the end of the night, Farah Fortune took the stage to give a warm heartfelt speech about how she started the company and the struggles she endured to get to where she was. She thanked her African Star team that tolerated and understood her even during trying times before cutting the ASC cake
Soon after the speech DJ Fanatic hopped on the deck and played out the rest of the evening. As attendees walked out they were handed goodie bags with motions products, make up and skin treatment vouchers.
All in all, Farah Fortune is truly a well-respected entrepreneur who worked hard to pursue her passion and her accolades are well deserved
