Naima Maclean joins African Star
A talented female vocalist, actress, poet and entrepreneur, Naima Mclean infuses soul, spoken word, hip hop and pop among other genres to create a distinct style she calls "Urban Soul”.
Naima has recorded her debut album Things I Wish musically directed by RJ Benjamin,
The album features the likes of SA’s Hip Hop phenomenon’s AKA, Reason, Ameen Harron (best known for international hit Peter Parker Swag) and Nigeria’s Ice Prince.
It is a collection of urban tracks with a pan-African flavour and appeal which debuted at the Cape Town Jazz festival 2013.
As she continues to perform and grow her musical career, her highlight was being asked to open for International renowned RnB singer Joe Thomas on his tour to South Africa. Her international reach however did not stop there. She acted alongside Paul Walker in Vehicle 19.
AFRICAN STAR COMMUNICATIONS is proud to welcome NAIMA MCLEAN to the family and look forward to growing her brand locally and internationally.
